Abstract

The wave function expansion and addition theorem are used in the solution of dynamic stress concentration factor around a cylinder with an eccentric inclusion at nano-scale. Stresses satisfy the Young-Laplace equations and displacements are continuous on the surface. For incident waves with different frequencies, surface effects, softer/hard inclusion and core eccentricity on the dynamic stress concentration factor are discussed. The incident wave frequency, surface effects, softer/hard inclusion and core eccentricity have significant effects on the dynamic on the dynamic stress concentration factor as the radius of the inclusion shrinks to the nanoscale.
