Abstract

The variant of ping-pong protocol initialised with a non-orthogonal quantum states is being analysed. The impact of the non-orthogonality of the signal states on occurrence of false alarms in the control mode, level of the bit error rate in the message mode and uncontrolled leakage of the sensitive data is analysed. It is shown that only anti-symmetrical quasi Bell states enable confidential communication.

Keywords

ping-pong protocol, quantum direct communication, quasi Bell states.
